For Guild meetings ( see Calendar )

Neighborhood Knit-Ins are held throughout the week at various locations all over the metropolitan area. To find a knit-in near you contact:  info@stlouisknittersguild.com or check the "Getting to Know You" page in the Members Only section

Note (for Guild Members):  Unless otherwise stated, there is no need to get permission to come to a knit-in, just show up and look for other friendly knitters.  Knit-in times/dates occasionally change, check your Newsletter or call the contact person listed in the newsletter.

Knit-Ins are sponsored by the Guild for the benefit of Guild members. A Knit-In is a group of Guild members who meet in their homes or another place such as a restaurant, bookstore, or library to knit, exchange patterns, help each other with techniques, and become better acquainted with other members of the Guild.

Most Knit-Ins are organized in a geographical area so that members live close to one another. However, membership in a Knit-In is NOT limited to members living in that area. A Guild member is welcome to attend any of the Knit-Ins.

If you would like to start a new Knit-In, contact our Communications VP, who is listed on page 2 of your phone directory, for information/advice/encouragement!!

Knit-Ins usually meet once a month. Some meet during the day and may include bringing a sack lunch. If you plan to visit a Knit-In and are not sure whether to bring your lunch, check with the hostess or call for directions. Meetings of Knit-Ins with dates and times are listed in the monthly newsletter along with the hostess' name and phone number.

Occasionally, some Knit-Ins go afield. The members decide to take a field trip to visit a yarn shop or go out to dinner together. A Knit-In may take on a special project such as arranging the favors or program for the Guild banquet. Some Knit-Ins have a particular interest such as lace, dolls, toys, etc.

Attending a Knit-In is a way to get more involved with the Guild and gain an extra benefit from your membership dollar. You may attend as many Knit-Ins as your schedule will allow. The only requirement for joining a Knit-In is that you be a Guild member in good standing.

Non-members may attend any Knit-In held at a library, business, or similar place governed by non-exclusion rules.
